Administrator says Caribbean regulator liable for “fleecing” of failed Anguillan bank in Chapter 11

The administrator of a defunct Anguillan bank has brought new charges against its insolvent former parent and a Caribbean monetary authority in New York, taking note of an Anguillan court’s ruling from February denying the authority’s sovereign immunity.

An Anguillan liquidator is seeking Chapter 11 protection for an Anguillan bank in New York, to facilitate an investigation into the whereabouts of assets believed to be held at Bank of America in the US.
