Hong Kong liquidators can depart from pari passu to distribute HK and mainland assets
The Hong Kong High Court has allowed local liquidators to depart from the pari passu rule and distribute a company’s mainland Chinese law-governed assets in line with local limitations, resolving a cross-border legal hurdle to help close a 20-year-old case.
