Cayman court orders solar company’s liquidation, as creditors blame Chinese restructuring for default

A court in the Cayman Islands has ordered the winding up of solar panel manufacturer LDK Solar, just over a year after it completed a novel cross-border restructuring process in Cayman, the US and Hong Kong – with creditors blaming a recent Chinese domestic restructuring for scuppering the previous deal.
