Tony Heaver-Wren is a senior partner in Appleby’s Cayman Islands dispute resolution team. Tony heads both the insolvency and restructuring team in the Cayman Islands, having specialised in this area for over 25 years in three jurisdictions. Tony has led teams in the most significant Cayman Islands corporate restructurings, including CHC Helicopters and the ground-breaking Ocean Rig restructuring, and appears frequently as counsel in insolvency proceedings, scheme of arrangement and capital reduction hearings. Tony has a richly diverse cross-over practice that intersects with private equity, M&A, banking and finance, structured finance and fund finance, and he has advised major lenders, bondholders, insolvency officeholders, fund managers, investment fund shareholders and boards of private and publicly listed companies in all aspects of corporate governance, directors duties, minority shareholders’ rights, secured and unsecured creditor enforcements.
