A former president of INSOL International, Sumant is currently President of the Society of Insolvency Practitioners of India, Chief Mentor of INSOL India, President, Insolvency Practitioners Bar Association, and Chairman of ASSOCHAM National Council of Insolvency and Bankruptcy. Rated as India’s No. 1 insolvency lawyer by The Legal 500 for many consecutive years, his contributions to reforms in the Indian insolvency system are well recognised. He has recently been conferred global awards – India – Insolvency Lawyer of the Year 2017, and Game Changer of the Year 2017 – by two renowned global entities.  He is the author of Corporate Insolvency – Law & Practice.
