Saloni is a senior associate at AZB & Partners in the banking and finance and restructuring teams. She has led and supported several significant banking and finance, securitisation, restructuring, and insolvency transactions for the firm. She has also participated in discussions of the RBI Task Force on the Development of Secondary Market for Corporate Loans. She was recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ for Banking & Finance by ILFR1000 (2019 and 2020) and as a ‘Rising Star’ for Restructuring & Insolvency by The Legal 500 (2020).
She has also advised various stakeholders in the corporate insolvency resolution process under the Indian Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016, including creditors and resolution professionals and helped in the formulation of resolution plans.
She was part of a foreign fund’s credit investment in a leading real estate and EPC group in India. In addition to working on behalf of the resolution applicant in the insolvency resolution of Reliance Communication Limited, Reliance Infratel Limited and Reliance Telecom Limited, she acted on behalf of the administrator in the corporate insolvency resolution of DHFL.
She has assisted the ad hoc committee of bondholders of Reliance Communications Limited as well as aiding the consortium of lenders for credit investment in GTL Infrastructure Limited and the consortium of foreign lenders in restructuring of debt of a foreign group company of GMR Group.
She holds the memberships of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society as a solicitor and as an Advocate of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
