Rodrigo Ochagavía has extensive experience in projects, particularly in regulated sectors such as energy, ports, and concessions, as well as a broad practice in the M&A and banking and finance field. This broad expertise has allowed him to advise complex transactions in the project finance field such as the Alto Maipo and the Kelar thermos projects, project bond financings, as well as the several PV projects developed in Chile in 2015–2017. He has longstanding relationships with players in the energy sector such as AES Gener SA, SunEdison and SAAM, as well as with lenders, that allows him to understand in depth the issues at stake in project finance transactions.  He also has been chosen as one of the leading Chilean practitioners in projects, banking and finance, energy and mergers and acquisitions by Chambers and Partners; named as a leading practitioner of complex transactions in projects, M&A and banking and finance by Latin Lawyer, IFLR, PLC and The Legal 500, among other specialised publications.
