Juan María Jiménez is a partner in Garrigues’ restructuring and insolvency department. He has extensive experience in advising Spanish and international companies on out-of-court refinancings and restructurings, as well as on in-court insolvency proceedings, both domestically and cross-border. He has advised debtors in some of the most important insolvency proceedings conducted in Spain. He also regularly defends the interests of high-profile creditors and has a wealth of experience in designing strategies to maximise recovery

Since 2017, Juan María has been singled out by The Legal 500 as a ‘Next generation lawyer’. He is a frequent speaker on courses and conferences on insolvency law. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the Turnaround Management Association
