Giuliano Colombo is a partner at Pinheiro Neto Advogados, and is co-head of the firm’s corporate reorganisation and bankruptcy department. He advises debtors, owners and shareholders, creditors, creditors’ committees and ad hoc committees, boards, directors and managers and potential investors in refinancing, judicial reorganisation, prepackaged reorganisation, out-of-court restructuring, distressed investment and finance, and litigation related to insolvency and commercial matters. Mr Colombo led the firm representation of the ad hoc committees of bondholders in ground-breaking crossborder restructurings, including the multibillion-dollar cases of Odebrecht Finance Ltd, Oi SA, Odebrecht Oil & Gas, OAS and OGX. He holds an LLM degree from the Insper Institute of Teaching and Research and an LLB degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. He was a foreign associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Mr Colombo is also participating in multiple groups for discussions and contributions to the legislative amendment of the Brazilian Bankruptcy Law. He has been recommended by international publications Chambers and Partners 2020 (Band 1), Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders – Restructuring & Insolvency 2020, GRR 100 2019, The Legal 500 Latin America 2021, Latin Lawyer 250 2020, Best Lawyers 2020, among other recommendations in bankruptcy and business restructuring practices.
