Ferdinand is head of the global restructuring and insolvency practice of De Brauw. He specialises in international debt restructuring, corporate recovery, distressed M&A and special situations financing deals. His broad practice encompasses both tailor-made finance deals and insolvency-sensitive transactions or litigation, always in a cross-border context.

With most of De Brauw's clients being multinational corporations, Ferdinand frequently advises boards of directors on their corporate governance, fiduciary duties and liability considerations in the complex environment of multi-jurisdictional financing and insolvency scenarios, and the prevention thereof.

Ferdinand is one of only a few Dutch fellows of INSOL International, a frequent speaker at international conferences and a member of INSOLAD. He is a lecturer on restructuring and insolvency at both Leiden University and the Vrije University Amsterdam.
