Efrosini graduated in law and business administration from Keele University and was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2003. She specialises in corporate and commercial law, and has been involved in drafting legislative amendments to the Companies Law and other laws affecting the commercial sector and has advised international banks, such as EBRD, Barclays, ETB, Aareal Bank, Credit Libanais and a number of local banks in restructuring assignments. She has also been an active member of the team conducting legal due diligence on distressed credit institutions. Efrosini has also advised several international clients on the Cyprus aspects of their restructurings and has provided legal advice and support to overseas insolvency practitioners appointed as liquidators of Cyprus companies. Efrosini is a licensed insolvency practitioner.Other areas of experience include the drafting of trusts and legal advice on the validity of trusts; tax law, providing advice on employee share plans; general advice on matters of telecommunications law; matters of intellectual property law; and IT matters and software issues such as e-commerce, electronic signatures, data protection and drafting of licence agreements.
