UK court confirms European Winding-up Directive blocks commercial claims under Lugano Convention

The England and Wales Court of Appeal has dismissed a case brought by a creditor of liquidating Icelandic bank Kaupthing, affirming that moratoria under the EU Winding-up Directive extend to civil and commercial claims under the Lugano Convention.
