UK court blocks winding up despite pre-covid “pattern of non-payment”

The England and Wales High Court has applied the temporary covid measures in the UK’s proposed Corporate Insolvency and Governance (CIG) Bill to halt a trio of petitions against the holding company of an African property group – despite the debtor showing a “pattern of non-payment and broken promises” before the pandemic hit.
