Shareholders of Irish bank AIB approve resolution plan in line with BRRD
Irish bank AIB has secured shareholder approval to reorganise itself under a new holding company structure via a scheme of arrangement, in order to comply with the EU’s Bank Resolution and Recovery Directive (BRRD) and reduce the likelihood of any future rescue falling on taxpayers.
