Liquidators can’t change member registers, Cayman court rules

A Cayman statute amended in the wake of the Madoff fraud does not give liquidators the power to rectify a company’s register of members inconsistently with their legal rights, the territory’s appeal court has found – overturning a lower court’s ruling.
