Liberian Chapter 11 debtor found to be “US person” for Iran sanctions purposes

A Liberian-incorporated debtor with no business operations in the US counted as a “US person” while in Texas bankruptcy proceedings for the purpose of respecting US sanctions against Iran, the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has found.
