Hong Kong court grants “precedent-setting” recognition to foreign voluntary liquidation

A Hong Kong judge has recognised a BVI-incorporated media company’s voluntary winding-up, addressing for the first time the issue of assistance to a foreign voluntary liquidation and declining to follow the UK Privy Council’s 2014 Singularis decision.
