Ex-Baha Mar owner sues Chinese contractor over alleged fraud that forced resort into bankruptcy
The former owner of the Bahamian resort Baha Mar, BML Properties, has filed a US$2.25 billion lawsuit accusing a Chinese contractor of perpetuating “one of the largest construction-based frauds in this hemisphere” while developing the luxury hotel and casino, which finally opened its doors in 2017 after years of delays and a receivership process.
